Costa Blanca refers to the over 200 kilometres of coastline belonging to the Province of Alicante, which itself is a comarca of the Land of Valencia. It has a well developed tourism industry and is a popular destination for British tourists. It extends from the towns of Denia in the north, beyond which lies the Costa de Valencia, to Torrevieja in the south, beyond which lies the Costa Calida. It includes the major tourist destinations of Benidorm and Alicante.
The Costa Blanca, with its wonderful beaches attracts millions of tourists every year. In the north the costa blanca starts with Denia and Javea two wonderful towns at the bottom of a mountain. In the south the costa blanca goes down to Guardamar and Torrevieja. The Costa Blanca’s main attraction is its stunning coastline, which is lined with Blue Flag beaches famed for cleanliness, pure waters and pristine white sands. From well-known sands to secluded coves and rocky bays, there’s a wealth of Costa Blanca shoreline to choose from – some perfect for swimming and waterskiing, others for windsurfing, snorkelling and hiring pedaloes. Numerous other beaches, mainly golden sand, can be found in the surrounding area. Local facilities cater superbly for every visitor, whether families or couples. In the Costa Blanca, nightlife can be as leisurely, low-key or lively as you wish. Recognised as one of the Spain’s top nightspots, you’ll find hundreds of bars and cafes throughout the region. The Costa Blanca’s discos and cabarets, clubs and pubs are all popular, while live music ranges from salsa and jazz to flamenco. Away from the bustling resorts, a number of small, intimate village retreats offer traditional homecooking and locally produced wine. Visit the wealth of tapas bars for a true taste of Spanish flavours. You can basically travel along the Costa Blanca as the carretera national goes all way alongside the coast. Make sure when you come along these beautiful sometimes small villages looking for Costa Blanca Holiday Homes that you have enough time for a stay There are many attractions alongside the Costa Blanca, some of them specially for tourists like the entertainment park Terra Mitica at Benidorm or the bays of Altea and Calpe. To me the biggest beauty of the Costa Blanca comes from the sea. Its beaches along with its tiny villages give the Costa Blanca its unique attraction. Further north along with Gandia and Oliva between Moreira and Denia you will find the city of Javea, with the Cabo de la Nao, one of my favourite places at the Costa blanca. One of the areas where lots of new Costa Blanca Property and Costa Blanca Real Estate is sold. You also might find some Costa Blanca villas for sale there. We've chosen our Costa Blanca villas with care in some of the most attractive parts of the coast from the mountains of the north at Denia to the salt flats of the south at Torrevieja, with occasional jaunts inland for a real away–from–it–all feel in the Jalon Valley.
