The first monastery was founded in 1018, but was suppressed by Henry VIII in 1539, and refounded in 1882. Buckfast now welcomes almost 1/2 million visitors each year. Directions Road From M5 junction 30, take A379 head to Exeter/Dawish. At roundabout follow B3182 towards city centre. Follow signs to Central rail station, hotel is opposite. There is limited parking spaces available at a charge of 5.00 per 24 hours. Spaces are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis and cannot be reserved in advance. Railway and the Tube Exeter Central Rail Station is adjacent to the hotel. Air From Exeter Airport either by bus / car, join the A30 at Clyst Honiton towards Exeter. Follow signs to City Centre, pass the High Street on the left and keep going until you reach the roundabout by Exeter H.M. Prison.
