Hyde Park is easily accessible from Bayswater, and on Sunday mornings artists display their works on the railings on the north side of Hyde Park; the exhibit stretches from Bayswater tube station to beyond Lancaster Gate tube station. The artworks are all originals and are very affordable.
Another entertaining Sunday attraction is Speakers Corner (near Marble Arch) where all and sundry share their opinions with the world. Any speech is tolerated, except criticisms of the Queen, and the heated but entertaining banter attracts the crowd. There's plenty of space in the park for running, skating, picnicking, relaxing, boating and admiring Kensington Palace, among other historic monuments and buildings. One of the main leisure attractions here is the Firstbowl Queensway, featuring an ice skating rink, ten pin bowling and a large video game arcade. The main shopping area in Bayswater is the Whiteley's shopping centre, with a huge array of shops offering many international brands. The centre boasts a large selection of restaurants and cafés as well as a movie complex and is a good place to browse, especially if the weather is bad. Just a stone's throw away from the northern tip of Hyde Park lie Bayswater and Queensway. This area is known for its leisure offerings and shopping, rather than its tourist attractions. The Bayswater area can easily be reached via tube from Bayswater station (District and Circle lines) or Queensway (Central line).
