Ten miles south of central London, Richmond-upon-Thames is one of London's most historic and desirable suburbs - with its own unique 'village ' atmosphere.
The town is home to many painters, writers, poets, actors, musicians and painters including Sir Richard Attenborough and Mick Jagger, many of whom are attracted by the beautiful period architecture.
Just five minutes walk from the Duke's Head you'll find the thriving town centre. Here, many well known stores sit side by side with a browser's delight of specialist and antique shops. Richmond has long been a mecca for entertainment. It boasts nine cinema screens, a nightclub, over 20 pubs, more than 40 restaurants, two theatres and a museum.
All bedrooms have en-suite shower and WC, remote control colour TV and central heating. Ironing facilities are available.
Resident guests are served a hearty English breakfast every morning - although Mairead does sometimes give it a bit of an Irish flavour. Later on in the day, reasonably priced pub grub; is available. Lunch and evening meals are available every day, and at weekends, food is served all day until 8pm.
Richmond is easily reached by train
from Waterloo or on the Underground
and the M25, M3 and M4 bring all major road routes within a few miles of
the hotel. Heathrow airport is just seven miles away.
